The Fort Macon Coast Guard Station includes a new station building, a new exchange building, and the renovation of the conference and training center.

Sapce is provided for administration, communications, security, berthing, supply ready crew rooms and shops. The project includes a new exchange facility and a new sewage treatment plant which will serve the entire base.

The design utilized white brick and red shingles which recall traditional USCG facilities. The gable roof forms and colors relate to existing structures on base, provide an historically and regionally appropriate unified design theme, and establish a strong vocabulary of design for future projects.
